Customer Reviews

I first met with Townlec in January 2020 to discuss innovative solutions for Townsville City Councils trade vehicle toolboxes. Issues that I was having that I sort solutions for included: • Security – Council vehicles were being left unlocked overnight in Council Depots & when working out in the community. • Toolbox Damage – Trucks being driven with toolbox open • Safety – Incident involving tools & equipment falling out while vehicle being driven • Tampering with alarms & lighting – Workers were taking it upon themselves to disconnect / sever wiring • Lost Keys – Toolbox keys being lost or taken home on RDO’s, leaving workers not able to access toolboxes Townlec researched options and consulted with us along the way as they found a solution that addressed all these issues. We installed the Lokabox into 3 out of 10 trucks that we purchased for one of our TCC Teams in the 21/22 Financial Year. Workers have now been operating trucks with Lockabox Toolboxes for close to a year. Comments from workers in the field are all positive with queries as to why we did not install them to all the Trucks we purchased in 21/22. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the process we went through to find the solution that suited our trucks and will be continuing to use these in future as we renew our Fleet of Trucks and Trade Utilities.
